What were your impressions having reviewedmany of the documents?It is rumored that FCIB may haveserved as some kind of black budget bank along thelines of Australias Nugan Hand bank and that is whythere has been such secrecy over the current Deussinvestigation. Deuss has so far not been charged over theFCIB matter. Leda Sanford: Yes, that year,1978, I was also asked to produce the annual report for theFirst Curacao International Bank. Paul Hardy and I wrote anddesigned the report using materials provided by the Deusspeople. I won't speculate about the veracity of what weproduced.At that point I met Jeno Paulucci, a colorfulentrepreneur who wanted to start a magazine for ItalianAmericans called Attenzione.
